International Eisteddfod line-up announced
The line-up has been announced for this year’s Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, which takes place from 7-12 July in North Wales.
Barbara Dickson, a multi-million album-selling singer, will perform at the festival this year. She will feature in a line-up along Natasha Marsh, who is a soprano singer, and Sir Willard White, a Jamaican-born bass-baritone.
This year will include a James Bond-theme, with renowned composer and conductor, Carl Davis, directing the music of James Bond with the Welsh National Opera Orchestra, Mary Carewe, and Simon Bowman in the ‘Licensed to Thrill’ concert. A Bond girl also will make an appearance with actress Honor Blackman hosting the evening concert on Sunday 12 July. The festival will be concluded with a spectacular firework display.
The International Eisteddfod includes performances from more than 4,000 competitors over six days this year with an extra day added.
